Front Office Receptionists are responsible for making guests feel welcome, reviewing reservations and bookings; preparation of guest’s or groups arrival and departure, greets guests, assigns suitable rooms, and checks the guest’s method of payments and incidental charges, and handling guest’s immediate problems or questions. The Front Office is the heart of the hotel. In addition, attention to detail and Communication is very important in projecting a hospitable image. The reception staff has many jobs, but the most important is effective and prompt communication with not only with guests as they enter the hotel during checking in or exiting during check-out, but with other departments and outlets as well such as sales & marketing, reservation, restaurant, housekeeping and maintenance.
