Job Responsibilities:

LICADHO is seeking a highly qualified local candidate to fill the position of Women’s and Children’s Rights Monitoring Supervisor for LICADHO’s Monitoring Office. The purpose of the position is to Supervise and manage the activities of the women’s and children’s rights senior monitors and monitors in Phnom Penh and the provinces. Investigate or supervise the investigation of high profile women’s and children’s rights cases; follow up or supervise the follow up of all high profile cases; act as media spokesperson on women’s and children’s rights issues; compile statistics and report to management and donors on project progress; provide coaching to senior monitors and monitors to develop quality and efficiency of work; provide effective protection and support to victims and families.

Main Responsibilities

·         Set up action plan of WR/CR monitoring office.

·         Supervise staff to carry out their responsibilities and fulfil expectations through a clear process which focuses on implementing job descriptions and devising realistic work plans.

·         Oversee management of ongoing cases to ensure quality of investigations conducted.

·         Investigate high profile cases or delegate those cases to Senior Monitors and supervise their investigation work.

·         Supervise and support the work of the Senior Monitors to ensure that cases are followed-up

·         Report and document all cases

·         Assist the WR/CR Monitoring Consultant to develop advocacy strategies for social and legal reform on issues affecting women’s and children’s rights.

Act as LICADHO media spokesperson on women’s and children’s rights issues
Job Requirment:

·         Bachelor degree in Law or equivalent qualification

·         3 years’ experience of monitoring women’s and/or children’s rights cases

·         General knowledge of human rights

·         2 years’ experience in project management and staff supervision

·         Experience of working with media as a tool for communication and advocacy

·         Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops, training and meetings is an advantage

·         Excellent spoken/written Khmer and good knowledge of English
